He has led the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation as its President since 2010, served as a Member of the International Olympic Committee from 2016 to 2026 and on its Executive Board from 2018 to 2026, and is today an Honorary Member of the IOC and a recipient of the Olympic Order — its highest distinction. He has served as President of Argentina's Bobsleigh, Skeleton & Luge Federation since 2015, and as a Councillor of the Argentine Olympic Committee since 2025.
