Nobiru ("we", "us", "our") operates the nobiru.global platform — an invite-only professional network for elite athletes. We are committed to protecting your personal data and your right to privacy.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account data: Name, email address, role (athlete, company, university)
• Profile data: Sport, country, years active, biography, availability, profile photo
• Athletic credentials: Documents you upload for verification purposes
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, login timestamps
• Communications: Messages sent through the Platform

Supporter (Angel) contact details

If you choose to support an athlete as an Angel, you may give us your email address so we can notify you when supporter features become available. You do not need a Nobiru account to do this. We use this email only to contact you about supporting athletes, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Operate and improve the Platform
• Match athletes with relevant opportunities
• Send transactional emails (application updates, connection requests)
• Send occasional email updates about the network and opportunities (you can opt out)
• Verify athletic credentials
• Protect the Platform from abuse

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Supabase: Our database and authentication provider
• Resend: Our email delivery provider
• Other users: Your profile is visible to approved organizations on the Platform. Your contact details are only shared with organizations you explicitly approve.

5. Athlete Identity Protection

We take athlete privacy seriously. Your full contact details (email, phone) are never shared with organizations without your explicit consent. Organizations must first request contact, which is reviewed by our team, and then approved by you personally before any details are disclosed.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of marketing emails
• Data portability

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
